VIRTUAL

REALITY

VR experiences provide the ultimate sense of immersion and interactivity for projects of any size; from handheld products to interior design to entire buildings and even cities. We have developed a library of over 50 VR interactions that have been used in numerous projects as design, presentation, marketing, sales and training tools.

THE RAY

EXPERIENCE

The Ray is an 18-mile stretch of highway I-85 in Troup County, Georgia. The highway is used as a proving ground for several sustainability initiatives  that will transform the transportation infrastructure of the future. Currently only a limited number of people can actually visit The Ray. With the VR experience The Ray team is able to bring the highway to the people at trade shows, conferences and meetings where each sustainability feature is explained in detail, leaving the users a hands-on, personal understanding of the project.

AUGMENTED
REALITY

AR allows us to bring virtual objects into the real world. Some use case examples for AR include: design presentation, placing virtual buildings on real sites before they are built, interactive education or transforming your brand or product into an engaging experience for your audience.

ON-SITE

AR TOUR

The Cubic On-site AR Tour tool allows our clients to place virtual buildings onto a real site and tour it as if it's actually there. It is a powerful tool for developers to see and showcase their upcoming projects.

MIXED
REALITY

Similar to AR, MR allows us to bring virtual objects into the real world. However with MR, virtual objects have a greater understanding of the real world. MR allows users to interact with both using see-through head mounted displays. Use cases for MR include multi-user collaboration, education, training, brand experiences, games and entertainment.

INTERACTIVE
TOUR

When using VR/MR hardware is not an option, simpler interactive experiences offer an alternative. Our web-based interactive experiences allow users to access and tour projects from any computer or mobile device.

NANBANJIE

TOUR

Cubic created a web cultural tour of a traditional street (“hutong”) in Beijing called “NanBanJie”. Our creative team worked closely with the client to create a story and characters for the tour. We used VR 3D motion capturing techniques to animate the characters and integrated architectural 3D models of the traditional courtyard and street environment. The entire experience was dubbed in Chinese to help the audience understand and appreciate the cultural heritage behind the century old street in Beijing.

RENDERING
& ANIMATION

We create fly-through animations and still renderings using combination of cutting-edge, real-time and traditional rendering techniques. Much like our interactive experiences, we blend virtual and real worlds together with rendering and animation.

THE STITCH

Cubic was approached to help communicate a complex urban development project. The challenge was to explain to viewers where and how the project would take place. Our team proposed a composite animation solution to help visualize the ambitious project. We worked closely with multidisciplinary team (i.e. developers, designers, city officials, drone photographers) and created a video with the animated project construction process, superimposed onto real drone footage of the site showing the viewers a vast highway transforming into a green, prosperous corridor for people.
